ER WAIT
iSkilled nursing care is a high level of medical care that is provided by trained individuals, such as registered nurses (RNs) and physical, speech, and occupational therapists. These services can be necessary over the short term for rehabilitation from an illness or injury. Our main goal for our patients entering our skilled care facilities at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Winchester and Sewanee is to get them back to their home.
One of the most reassuring facts about our skilled nursing facilities is that they are located in our hospitals fully equipped to handle any medical or emergent needs of the patients.
Our team has years of experience caring for patients. Quality care involves many elements ranging from comfortable surroundings and home-like atmosphere to the expertise and care our patients receive. Our most important asset is the considerate, continual, personal attention given to all of our patients.
Our team is available to provide patients and their families an exceptional experience.
Please review our COVID-19 Visitation Guidelines.
Admission requirements vary depending on the insurance. Most follow Medicare guidelines and require a 3 night stay in the hospital within 30 days of admission. A few insurances do not require this. Patients also have 30 days after discharge to readmit without another 3 night stay in the hospital if they get home and determine they need additional care, provided no Medicare days have previously been used the first 20 days are covered at 100%.
